Land Acknowledgement

As we live, work and play directly with the land and nature, it is critical for New Feather Therapy to offer a land acknowledgement. This acknowledgement comes with gratitude and humility.

The lands on which New Feather Therapy facilitates human connection to nature are the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Atawonderon (neutral), and Haudenosaunee peoples, on lands connected with Treaty 3 (the Between the Lakes Treaty) and lands protected by the Dish with one Spoon wampum agreement. This agreement has become foundational to New Feather Therapy's approach to land use.  Take what you need and leave what you don't so that we all have enough.

New Feather Therapy acknowledges that Turtle Island holds history and meaning and is still home for many First Nations, Inuit and Metis persons.
